Hosted by the AISA Cloud Branch, please join Online Investigations Director Julia Robson, Bradley Deacon and Tim Watson-Munro, for an online discussion on a real-life case study in relation to the issue of online trolling and the cyber evidence collected and investigations undertaken to counter bad online behaviour.
Trolls are individuals who engage in online behaviour that is provocative and offensive, with the ultimate goal of gaining some sort of online attention. Arguably, the most common example of trolling behaviour is posting offensive comments in response to a post or article. However, the explosion of the popularity of social networking sites has seen an increase in trolling behaviour – leading to the imprisonment of the first Australian for being a “troll”.
Join this session to learn about the issues of collecting cyber evidence and how a cyber perpetrator profile is developed. The panel will also discuss some of the real-life issues of collecting cyber evidence and developing cyber perpetrator profiles. The focus will be on the multi-disciplinary aspects of cyber safety and cyber investigations.
Participants will have the opportunity at the end of the session to ask questions of the speaker via the Q&A Chat box.
