Private Investigator in Melbourne

Back for its second year, the National Missing Persons Hackathon will be held as an online event on 29 October 2020.

Participants of the events (in teams of four) work together to locate publicly available information on the internet about current missing persons cases nominated for the event by supporting Australian policing jurisdictions. This information is more commonly known as open source intelligence or OSINT.

In the lead up to the event a series of webinars will be held exploring the world of OSINT, it’s interaction with cyber security and the journey into an OSINT career.

Online Investigations’ Director and Private Investigator Julia Robson will form part of the panel discussing the power and application of open source intelligence in Australia.

Topics of discussion will include:
– Open source intelligence fundamentals and disciplines
– How OSINT relates to cyber security
– The light and dark sides to OSINT
– OSINT case studies from the experts
– OSINT as a career

In 2019, Julia Robson attended the inaugural event in Canberra and assisted as a judge. More information about her experience can be found at https://www.onlineinvestigations.com.au/judging-the-national-missing-persons-hackathon/

Tickets to participate in the event and more information about the event can be found by visiting  www.missingpersonshackathon.com.au.
